Madison Cosmetology College SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2008/2009 GRADUATES

Please be sure to send official transcripts, attendance records, and 2 letters of recommendation to the MCC admissions office immediately following the completion of the application.
Scholarship applicantions will only be considered for the Aesthetics and Cosmetology Programs.
Madison Cosmetology College has allocated $30,000 in scholarships for high school students who will be attending our college in 2008 or 2009. The scholarships are awarded in varying amounts depending on the performance level in each step of the program. You must be a high school student to apply and must have obtained either a high school diploma or equivalent to begin any program at our college.
Step 1
Complete and return to the college the Preliminary Scholarship Application. Applications are available from high school guidance offices, Madison Cosmetology College wesite and from Madison Cosmetology College’s Admissions office.

Step 2
Send your official academic transcripts and attendance records from your High School to the Admissions office attenion Jodell Olson.

Step 3
Send two letters of recommendations from your school’s guidance counselor, teachers, and/or employers (past or present). Please have the following included in the evaluations:
A) What kind of student and/or employee you are/were.
B) Any outstanding personality characteristics you have.
C) Information on any charitable work you’ve done.

THE APPLICATION, TRANSCRIPTS, AND LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY MADISON COSMETOLOGY COLLEGE ADMISSIONS OFFICE NO LATER THAN June 9, 2008 for the 08 school year and June 8, 2009 for the 09 school year.
Scholarship recipients will be notified on or before August 4, 2008 for 08 school year and by August 3 for the 09 school year.
(Be sure to note which year you are applying for).

Note: All scholarships are granted with the understanding that the recipient must successfully complete the course of study to which the scholarship applies. Scholarships, study awards and tuition credits sponsored by the school are awarded on graduation day from Madison Cosmetology College.

Remember the 2008 Scholarship deadline is June 9, 2008 and recipients will be notified by August 4, 2008. June 8, 2009 is the deadline for 2009.
